Management Development
Occupational Psychology and Management Development
Badger Associates offers a comprehensive set of products and services designed to allow forward thinking organisations to take much of the uninformed risk element from the selection selection process and to maximise the talents available to them within the workforce while identifying ongoing training and development needs. All three key elements will repay any investment by protecting and maximising the potential of any organisations best asset, its people.
We have the capability to carry out psychometric assessment, selection, and training and development particularly in the sales and marketing fields.
Psychometric assessment within the selection process
Psychometric assessment within Management Development, identifying strengths, areas for development, and appropriate career routes
Management audit assessment of key individuals within an organisation to enable a greater understanding of employees potential, current strengths and development needs.
Using upward or 360 degree feedback of interpersonal or management style within Management and Supervisory Development.
Management Audit
One key elements of the product basket is the Management Audit.
This service is relevant to organisations wishing to assess key individuals to gain a more in-depth understanding of their potential, strengths and areas for development/limitations. This can be particularly useful in the following circumstances:
During periods of restructuring when new roles are created or established roles are changing, developing or being made redundant. Targeted assessment can help to determine which individuals would be best placed in which roles, or how individuals affected by role changes may best be deployed or developed
For managers wishing to gain a greater understanding of the strengths and potential of individuals within his or her team
For board directors wishing to assess managerial strengths in a new acquisition
Elements of Management Audit
STAGE ONE: Psychometric Assessment
Each individual would typically complete a verbal and a numerical reasoning test of an appropriate level, and an occupational personality questionnaire to assess work and personal style. This can be done individually, or in a small group.
STAGE TWO: Interview and feedback of the results to the individual
Each individual would have a structured interview with the consultant, to principally explore work history, work preferences and style. The results of the two aptitude tests and the occupational personality questionnaire would be fed back to the individual at this stage.
STAGE THREE: Report Preparation
The consultant will produce a written report on each individual assessed, covering potential, strengths, development needs or limitations, and a recommendation regarding career direction. Two copies will be given to the client, one for the commissioning manager, and one for the individual assessed. The content of the report can be discussed with the consultant if required.
STAGE FOUR: Meeting between the assessed individual and an appropriate manager
It is expected that there would be a meeting between the assessed individual and an appropriate manager shortly after the reports have been received, to discuss perceptions, and to discuss and agree any appropriate role change or individual development. Further guidance from the consultant on discussion handling or action planning can be provided at this stage if required.
Other services include Psychometric Testing for employment selection and an Individual Development Assessment. Most organisations will be familiar with the former but the later is of particular value to organisations wishing to assess an individual for promotion or a career change.
